The concept of Psychodrama

Have you heard of the term Psychodrama? In case, you are not sure what this term means and what this whole concept is all about, then we are throwing some light on it. Developed by Jacob Levy Moreno, this concept is a concept that uses deep action methods for exploring and correcting issues identified by the psychotherapy group.

For this concept, usually those people are chosen, who bring forward their drama to enhance the dramatic enactment of the scenes. In other words, psychodrama is an experimental therapy allowing correction through re-experiencing and thereby, improving dynamically by expressions and role rehearsals.

The core thing to know about psychodrama is that it unfolds things in unpredictable ways to suggest something in an idealistic description. This concept helps clarifying issues to increase physical and emotional being for improved learning and skills. Various ways are used to employ psychodrama in a person.

The whole concept of psychodrama is divided into three distinct phases. The fist phase is the warm up phase and it is all about identifying a protagonist. The second phase is the action phase in which the problem is dramatized and the protagonist explores new methods of resolving it. Last phase is the sharing phase in which the group members are invited to express their connection with the main protagonist’s work.
